Coaching in 3 days

Today was the last of three days working with a certain fourth grade teacher from a small charter school in Delaware. As we reviewed the day and the overall experience I discovered that this teacher:
1. Now includes journal writing in his classroom because of me.
2. Now incorporates "author's chair" in his classroom because of me.
3. Now believes in targeted grouping for instruction based on assessment data because of me.
4. Now knows how to create differentiated groups in his class because of me.
5. Now knows how to create "tiered" instructional activities based on student need because of
me.
6. Now knows how to instruct his students to sort vocabulary words by different categories
using word cards because of me.
7. Will consider using Power Point presentations more effectively in his classroom because of me.
8. Understands the importance of designing lessons that encompass tactile (hands on) learning
and knows how to create them.
9. Understands the importance of modeling and giving examples when teaching a new concept
because of me.
10. Has a clearer picture of "Student Centered Learning"...yep... because of me.
11. Conducts more reflective reviews of his teaching both before and after teaching because of
me.
Not a bad result for spending only 3 days together! :)
